stop the traffik

Scott Blake:

I have looked up almost every single artist there is too look up, and out of all of them i liked this piece the most. I admit i didn't do like thorough researching but this one spoke to me right away! Human trafficking is something real and something serious. People don't think it happens here but it does, all the time it is just pushed under the rug. This huge bill board kinda forces people to think about it, and maybe someone will decide to do something about it. People don't look at much, but people do look at bill boards.

It is a good bill board because instead of just saying, stop the traffik it has his own twist on it, considering all of his work is out of bar codes. And bar codes are how we but and sell. By putting people into the bar code it forces the viewers to actually think that this is happening.

This was his first piece using barcodes, he did it in 1998. What inspired him was the Y2K. He first tried using squares and circles, then he figured out that he could do this and liked it a lot more. What i really like about this is well i have a good relationship w/ Jesus so of course i like portraits of him (: but its kinda contradicting, because if you know anything about religion barcodes in humans are kinda sign of the beast. But anyways its really good!(:

MY fav is that u can actually scan the bar codes and differnt songs play!
